Today’s the day. Something’s different around here. Can you guess what it is? Oh, that’s right. This is an entirely different site than it was this time yesterday. Which is awesome! Welcome! I’m glad you made it.
I’ve been working on this design for the past five months, and I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to finally show you guys what I’ve been working on. And, I’m especially jazzed about what this rebrand means for Ex Vitae.
For a while now, I’ve felt like Ex Vitae was missing something. Mostly, this blog felt like a few stabs in the dark at what could be considered good, sharable content. But, (for the most part), I didn’t feel like I was being authentic to myself in the types of content I was creating. And I suppose that perceived inauthenticity was a lot of the reason I dragged my feet in finishing the design/code – I just didn’t know what I wanted to do with this space. And so I bided my time, waiting for the lightning bolt to strike. And strike it did, courtesy of my mother. As you do.
The site isn’t quite finished, but I figured if I didn’t set a hard deadline for launch, I’d never get it out. In any case, I’ll be making a few small changes over the next couple of days – mostly just polishing the code and making it friendly for all different kinds of devices. Which, by the way, is one of my favorite parts of the new design – it’s super readable on your mobile device! Pretty neat, no?
So, in honor of this brand new EV, I bring you my (belated) new years resolution for this space:
- Post more regularly
- Share as much of my own photography as possible
- Share more of my own experiences
- Create a newsletter so that readers can keep up with me in an easier-to-digest format
Please share your thoughts/comments about the new digs – What do you think?? What should I change?? Your feedback is what keeps me going around here, and I’d love to hear what you think. Also, what are your new years blog resolutions? What are you working on right now? Let me know – I’m happy to support in any way I can :)
