Valentine’s Day is upon us! At this point, you’ve probably (hopefully? Maybe?) purchased some kick-ass gifts for your significant other/mom/galentine’s squad, and the only thing standing between you and your holiday plans is figuring out what to wear. Sebastian and I are decidedly casual when it comes to our Valentine’s Day plans – we might take a walk (or Detour!) through one of our favorite SF neighborhoods, and in the evening we’ll head over to our favorite restaurant for a sushi/sake tasting menu. And to be honest, I’m not going to dress up very much for either of these events. I’m a big believer that a well-picked, coordinated outfit that’s comfortable will always look and feel better than putting on something that’s super fancy and makes you feel out-of-place.
Below, I’ve put together a couple of super polished, easy Valentine’s Day outfit ideas that you can probably recreate with items in your own closet. After all, what’s better than finding inspiration using the clothing you already have? Let me know what you think of these picks – I’d love to hear what you’re planning on wearing this Valentine’s Day!
Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas #1 – Casual Stripes
There’s nothing more romantic than infusing a little bit of Parisian style into your outfit. The stripes are chic and casual, and dark jeans are easy to dress up and down. This outfit is perfect for grabbing lunch with your friends or a low-key evening at home (my personal favorite). These heels are some of my favorites – they’re comfortable enough for a long(ish) walk, and they look polished without being stuffy.
Valentine’s Day Outfit Ideas #1 – Put It In Neutral
This combination is more dressed-up, and would work well for a dinner date or more formal party. Blush pink looks beautiful on just about everyone, and you can’t go wrong with a good pair of nude or dusty rose pumps. Top it off with some 90’s-esque brown lipstick, and you’re good to go.
